COMMUNISM:

WHAT WE WANT, WHAT WE BELIEVE. A REFUTATION OF VARIOUS CAPITALIST MYTHS.

We want economic EQUALITY for all U.S. citizens. What does that mean? It means that we know that ALL types of labor contribute to the creation and maintainance of our civilization: garbage collectors contribute just as much to public health as doctors. We do not believe that people should be paid more just because they are a prestigous, highly visible specialist whose work SEEMS to be self-created; we acknowledge the worth, value, and POWER of COLLECTIVE LABOR. We do not think that a doctor should be paid more because they spent more years in school, because that education is a PRIVELEGE---six years of med school does not make a cardiologist (e.g.) ay more "deserving" of wealth, especially since OTHERS spent those same six years WORKING HARD! A single hospital consists of hundreds of workers, only SOME of which get "six figure" annual salaries--this is should not be. Every working person should get paid the rightful value of the HARD WORK they do for society. Furthermore, no one should be paid less for good work just because they happen to be the wrong "RACE" or "ETHNIC GROUP," or because they are a "WOMAN."

Does this mean we encourage laziness or incompetence? NO! All people should be able to work to the best of their abilities for the good of the whole society.

Another Capitalist myth is that "Government Beaurocracy" is inherently corrupt, and that "Free Enterprise" fills the economic needs of human society by generating products according to consumer demand, and weeding out bad workers and products. First of all, this is a total fantasy: there IS no "Free Enterprise" in Capitalist societies, because EXISTING COMPANIES want to PRESERVE their market power, and they constantly battle each other until eventually a few giant corporations dominate each industry---this state of affairs is the OPPOSITE of freedom, and is MORE monolithic than a government bureacracy because it is NOT subject to voter control. Any person who takes the time to educate themselves about current economic trends (if even by simply READING NEWSPAPERS!) will know how often megacorporations merge and swallow each other, and how GOOD COMPANIES often "go under" because they are out-competed by stronger rivals. Economic strength (i.e., the ability of a company to get rich and powerful in the marketplace) in a capitalist society does NOT equal economic prosperity for that society.

(These compan---PLANNED OBSELESCENCE)(people should be able buy products that are cheap, well-made, without built in obselescence----like they used to be. We are at a technological stage when this absolutely is possible)

CAPITALISM MEANS, literally, the worship or pursuit of "CAPITAL" (wealth) above all else.

COMMUNISM MEANS a focus on the greater human COMMUNITY above all else.

CAPITALIST COMPETITION IS NOT "MORE NATURAL" THAN COMMUNAL EFFORT. This is a MYTH and a LIE told in Capitalist nations. In the majority of humanity's millions of years of history, we have lived in SMALL COMMUNAL SOCIETIES. It is only very recently that some humans have settled and formed more complex societies, which always have been filled with inequality and strife, and the human MISERY that goes along with that inequality and strife. Although there are some WARPED, EVIL PEOPLE that live only for conflict and delight in the suffering of others, MOST PEOPLE are HAPPIER when they are able to work in cooperation with others. This TRUTH is reflected in sayings even people in Capitalist societies speak of how in the end, it is LOVE for our FELLOW HUMANS (even if it is just a few chosen friends) that makes life worth living. Unfortunately, Capitalism NEEDS STRIFE AND HATE to exist, since it depends on competition. Communism is based on LOVE, TRUST, and COOPERATION.

CAPITALISM DOES NOT EQUAL FREEDOM. Capitalist societies teach their citizens that Capitalism means freedom for the individual, and presents Communist or Socialist societies as totalitarian armies of mindless clones. This is a MYTH: behold how in America (the #1 Capitalist empire in the 20th century) companies put out styles of clothes, and EVERYONE strives to look the same; how in supposodly "individualist" America, millions of white collar workers go to their offices in nearly identical uniforms (suits) on penalty of being fired if they dare to dress even a little differently; how much energy people in Capitalist societies waste trying to "fit in" and "be trendy." Capitalist societies are both CONFORMIST and WASTEFUL (since it costs money to keep up with rapidly-changing fashions).

Citizens of Capitalist socities sometimes imagine that Capitalism offers them more "choices" than they think Communism would (however, this opinion is based on rumors about the supposed "junk" produced in places like the Soviet Union). But a trip to the local American shopping mall will reveal that most stores sell variations of the SAME JUNK. For example, all clothes are just slight variations of the SAME STYLES. There is no variety, except when one considers EXPENSIVE junk (which is usually junk nonetheless) that most people cannot afford anyway, without sacrificing important neccessities in exchange for "STATUS" (the idiotic "image of being rich," which somehow MEANS SOMETHING in Capitalist socities).

Capitalism does NOT reward merit. Contrary to what liars say, the "elite" of the Capitalist world are no more "superior" to average people than the Kings and Queens of medieval Europe were: they are STUPID, LAZY, WITHERED, FRIVOLOUS HUMAN GARBAGE. They are AS PARASITIC as unemployed welfare mothers with 12 children and no husband---but Capitalists don't mention them, since they are the so-called "ELITE" of the Capitalist world. They are human garbage living in luxury while OTHER people do the dirty work. There are a few self-made billionaires like Bill Gates, but even HIS wealth depends on the HARD WORK and INGENUITY of OTHER people, no matter how savvy or creative he himself is! Many real inventors in the Capitalist world go IGNORED or PERSECUTED, because QUALITY does NOT equal market success!

The bloodiest, most oppressive regimes in the history of civilization are those of the MODERN CAPITALIST WORLD. Just taking America as an example, there is SLAVERY, COLONIALISM, RACISM, GENOCIDE, and BRUTAL WARS, all done to preserve MONEY, ultimately for a SELECT FEW. Their relative prosperity is won at the expense of the often INVISIBLE "LITTLE PEOPLE" whose HARD WORK make sCapitalism possible.
